August 22, 2023 – March 2, 2024.
Contemporary prints by Native American artists, produced at
Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts,
showed together with works from the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art,
and traditional art works from the Museum of Anthropology, WSU. My painting, Intimate Homelands Collapsed, is a meditation on displacement and resilience for indigenous and settlers alike...“Here in a homemade forest, poets, writers, scientists, foresters, shovels, seeds, elk and alder join in the circle with Mother Cedar, dancing the old growth children into being. We’re all invited. Pick up a shovel and join the dance.”
