A string of 4 random capital letters opens up a question around the casting of stories, and the observation of unaccountable phenomena. "2Q24" derives from the title of Murakami’s novel, in English "1Q84." Two moons appear over Tokyo. Proximate graphically to zero, Q might be a placeholder for the out-of-time. In the autumn of 2024 in the northern hemisphere, for a period of weeks, an asteroid thrown from the lunar orb was orbiting Earth. Astronomers named this mini-moon 2024PT5. In the monoprint series, two linocuts stamps stand in for Moon's celestial toss. Rectangles in twos catch one another, chasing shadows. Gel-pen arabesques might be mapping.
