1992-1999 dance Migration Series
Drawings in watercolor, ink, and graphite on paper overlay migration, architecture, and ritual at indigenous and colonial sites of power on Turtle Island in the west. As an outsider, I drew with respect for the hospitality of native dancers, who allowed me to be present outside of ceremony.
Some of these drawings were shown at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Gallery of Art and the Sioux City Art Center (Iowa) in 1994. Museum collections include Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Great Plains Art Museum at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Beach Museum of Art at Kansas State University.
